Sent by Stephanie's sister Vickie

I believe that Steph's last reunion with the class of 1967 was the '77 reunion in which she got the "award" for being the "most pregnant."  These were the days before sonograms and she had no idea that she was going to deliver boy/girl twins, later that August.  I really think, with all that Steph did, her children, Liza and Eli, are her greatest achievement.  She also was thrilled to have three grandchildren.

I am a member of the class of 1972 and I grew up idolizing my sister and not being able to wait to get to Broughton.  As a kid, five years younger, I paid close attention to what was said,  WHEN she would let me hang around.  I remember her sophomore crush on then senior, Pete Maravich.  I know Steph hung out with Guy Lucas, Betsy Carrigg, Carl Friedlander, Linda Smith, Dianne McWhirter, Fred Hutchinson, Cathy Jackson, Barbara Ruby  and a bunch of them had a bridge club.

She also once dated Bill Berry, who turned out to be her oncologist when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  She passed away in January 2009.  We all miss her.

I just wanted Steph to be remembered by the class of '67.  Broughton was a huge part of both of our lives and it always will be.

My favorite picture of Steph and me taken in the late 1980s.

What a fit tribute from Vickie.  Thank you so much for helping us remember her fondly.

I always thought of Stephnie as the smartest girl I knew. Sat behind her or in front of her in Mrs. Stell's geometry class if I remember correctly and she explained a lot of things for me.
