Helen was a companionable friend I knew from church, band, and school. In band, she played the flute (as I did). She went on to become one of the 'Caps' marching band. I learned she passed away at the NBHS reunion of 1997, so she was truly plucked too early. You couldn't have asked for a genuinely sweet friend.
