I didn't appreciate it at the time, but Broughton HS years were among the best years of my life (so far). My very best friends today were my best friends at Broughton, and we still get together frequently for dinners, vacations, fishing trips, and parties. Thank you all!

I worked for 36+ years with Soil & Material Engineers, Inc. (now S&ME), an employee-owned geotechnical and environmental engineering firm, retiring from full-time work in 2010. I specialized in quality-control testing and inspection of airfield and commercial office building construction projects. My best and favorite client was RDU International Airport, where I worked on most of their major development projects over the years, including runways, taxiways, terminal buildings, roads, bridges, air traffic control tower, and parking garages. My final assignment before retirement was foundation, sitework, and paving inspector for the new Terminal 2. Thank you RDU!
