I knew Paul from Jr. high and Broughton. He was one of the good guys. Not showy, not flashy ..... Just a good guy. I should have spent more time with him. A good solid guy like Paul was worth 10 of the flashy ones. I wasn't smart enough to know that 50+ years ago. Rest well old friend.

Since retiring in 2009, I've ridden my motorcycle in all lower 48 states, all of the Canadian provinces, plus Alaska. I've been through and/or camped in @40 of the national parks in the US.
So sad to see this. Kenny was a great friend. We really got to know each other when we attended Atlantic Christian. Super tennis player, super guy. He will be missed.
Eddie was a kind and gentle soul. It was evident to those of us who knew him all those years ago. His obituary is a testament to the boy we knew and the man he became.
Johnny was one of my best friends. The first band I played in consisted of Gene Craven and me on guitar, Ronnie White on drums, and Johnny on bass. We knew 2 songs when we played at Martin's 9th grade social. We were a hit. I think we played each song 5 times. We had so much fun in those early days. I was so sad to see his name on this list.
I've been away from Raleigh for many years and I just recently joined this reuinion site. To see Pete's name listed in the "In Memory" section really shook me. Pete was the piano/organist in one of the bands I played in during our Broughton years. He was such a great guy. His talent was obvious, but it was only the tip of the iceberg. He was smart, witty, mischievious, sly, funny, innovative, and an absolute joy to be around. He was a brother to all of us. I'm so sorry. It's a personal loss.
