Doug's obituary should be in Saturday 's paper.  There will be a gatherig of relatives and friends to remember and toast Doug on Sunday afternoon, April 28, 2019, at the Boylan Bridge Brewpub from 4 to 6 PM. We will be on the outside patio, on the end closest to the Taproom. This will be a time to remember and celebrate Doug and to express your sympathies to Cindy, Adrienne, Mason and Zack; and Doug's Brother and Sister and their families.

The news about Ray's death has been really tought news, especially since I thought Ray was doing much better  after  his treatments at UNC  in December. Joy and I saw Ray at Christmas and were very encouraged with Ray's progress at that time.  Going back to the summer of 2017 when the Doctors thought he was having heart problems, Ray was always positive. I sincerely admire Ray's  positivity through out his difficult medical journey. I never heard Ray complain. When I would ask him specifically how he was doing, he would usually say fine; and then move on to talk about other things. I am proud to call Ray a friend.  I treasure the times we had together planning the 50th Reunion, eating lunch together at Raleigh Sports Club, and seeing each other  at church. God's Blessings to Ann and all of their wonderful family membes.
